AI job search for India, inside Claude Code
Search live startup and SMB jobs, read full descriptions, tailor your resume and save roles, all without leaving your terminal. HuntYourTribe's MCP server connects Claude Code to 15k+ jobs indexed directly from company career pages, refreshed daily.
Once connected, you can ask Claude things like:
- "Find remote Python roles in Bengaluru that need 3 years or less."
- "Show me what's new at the companies on my watchlist."
- "Read this job and tell me which parts of my resume to rewrite."
No listing on HuntYourTribe is older than 60 days, so Claude only works with roles that are actually open.
Install
Searching needs only the server URL. A free token lets Claude save jobs to your account and read your watchlist.
Prerequisites
- Claude Code installed
- A free HuntYourTribe account, if you want to save jobs or use your watchlist
- Optional: your resume as a PDF, Markdown or text file in your working folder
1. Create your token (optional)
Sign in to HuntYourTribe, open the MCP page in your account and click Create token. You'll see the token only once, so have your terminal open and paste it straight into the next step. Skip this if you only want to search.
2. Add the server
With a token (search, save and watchlist):
claude mcp add --transport http huntyourtribe \
https://api.huntyourtribe.com/mcp \
--header "Authorization: Bearer <your-token>"Search only, no token:
claude mcp add --transport http huntyourtribe https://api.huntyourtribe.com/mcpClaude Code keeps the token in its MCP settings. To use HuntYourTribe in every project, add --scope user right after add. Run claude mcp list to confirm it's connected.
3. Check it works
Start Claude Code and ask: "Find remote product designer jobs and save the best match." The job should appear in Track jobs on HuntYourTribe.
Tools
The server gives Claude four tools. You don't call them directly; Claude picks the right one from your request.
Tool | What it does | Token needed |
|---|---|---|
| Searches live listings by keyword and filters. Returns up to 25 jobs per page. | No |
| Fetches the full description, company info and posting details for one job. | No |
| Lists live jobs at the companies on your watchlist, newest first. | Yes |
| Saves a job to your HuntYourTribe account. | Yes |
Search filters
You can describe any of these in plain English, and Claude maps them to filters:
Filter | Example |
|---|---|
City, country or continent | Bengaluru, India |
Company | Razorpay |
Role | software-engineer, data-engineer |
Skills | react, node.js, python |
Seniority | entry, senior |
Minimum experience | 3 years |
Work mode | remote, hybrid, onsite |
Job type | full-time, contract, internship |
Keyword | Free text across title, company and description |
Usage limits: 20 calls an hour on the free plan, 100 an hour on the paid plan.
Ready-made commands
Save these as Markdown files in ~/.claude/commands/ and they become slash commands in every Claude Code session. Anything you type after the command replaces $ARGUMENTS.
Command | What it does |
|---|---|
| Finds live roles that match a description and ranks them against your resume. |
| Shows new roles at the companies you watch. Needs your token. |
| Reads one job in full and rewrites your resume and a short cover note for it. |
hyt-search.md
Search HuntYourTribe for jobs matching: $ARGUMENTS
Use search_jobs with the right filters (city, skills, level, work mode,
minimum experience). If resume.md or resume.pdf exists in this folder,
read it and rank the top 10 results by fit. For each job show: title,
company, location, work mode, posted date, one line on why it fits,
and the apply link.hyt-watchlist.md
Use get_watchlist_jobs to list live roles at the companies I watch.
Group them by company, newest first. Flag anything posted in the
last 3 days. $ARGUMENTShyt-tailor.md
Use get_job_details for the HuntYourTribe job: $ARGUMENTS
Read my resume from this folder. Then:
1. List the 5 requirements that matter most in this job.
2. Show which of my experiences match each, and the gaps.
3. Rewrite my summary and top 5 bullets for this role. Never invent experience.
4. Draft a cover note under 150 words.
5. Ask whether to save this job with save_job.Example: /hyt-search remote React roles in Bengaluru, 3+ years
The workflow
A full session, from search to a saved, tailored application, takes about 30 minutes.
1. Start where your resume lives
Open a terminal in the folder with your resume and run claude. Claude Code can read local files, so you never paste your resume into a chat.
2. Search
Describe what you want in plain English:
Find Python jobs in Bengaluru. Show title, company, work mode and experience needed.
When we ran this on 7 November 2026, HuntYourTribe returned 796 matching jobs. The top results included a senior Data Engineer role at CloudThat (5+ years, AWS, Spark, Airflow) and remote contract roles at 3Y Health, including Founding Engineer and AI Product Engineer, each posted that day.
3. Narrow it down
Keep refining in the same conversation:
Only remote roles, full-time, needing 3 years or less. Rank them against my resume.
4. Read the full job
Open the second one and tell me what they actually need.
Claude pulls the complete description with get_job_details, so you see the real requirements, not a snippet.
5. Tailor your application
Rewrite my summary and top bullets for this role, then draft a short cover note.
Or run /hyt-tailor with the job link.
6. Save and track
Save this job.
With your token connected, it lands in Track jobs on HuntYourTribe, where you can follow it through to an offer. Then check /hyt-watchlist every few days for new roles at your target companies.
Why use this instead of job boards or plain prompts
- Live jobs, not Claude's memory. On its own, Claude can't see today's openings. With HuntYourTribe, every result is a real listing with an apply link.
- No ghost jobs. Listings come straight from company career pages and drop off after 60 days, so you don't waste applications on roles that closed months ago.
- Startups and SMBs first. Find the companies that rarely post on big job portals, across Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Pune, Chennai, Mumbai, Delhi NCR and more.
- Your resume stays local. Claude Code reads it from your folder, so you never re-paste it, and every step builds on the last.
- Search to saved in one place. Find, research, tailor and track without switching between tabs.
Using another AI app?
HuntYourTribe works in any app that lets you set a request header.
Claude.ai

Field | Value |
|---|---|
Server URL |
|
Header name |
|
Header value |
|
Claude Desktop
Open Settings, then Developer, then Edit config, and add this to claude_desktop_config.json. Restart Claude afterwards. It needs Node.js.
